DREAMCITY THEATRE GROUP SEEKS INTERVIEWS WITH RESIDENTS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCE OF GEORGETOWN DURING WWII

(August 30, 2007) DreamCity Theatre Group, 2007 Mayor's Arts Award Finalist - Outstanding Contribution to Arts Education, is seeking to interview current or former Georgetown residents who have intimate or anecdotal experience of Georgetown during WWII (fall 1941 - fall 1945). City At War is a coming of age story about a young woman who, after her husband leaves to fight in the Pacific, must find herself as the new city she finds herself in is changing rapidly and in a full-scale mobilization effort. Mr. Jerry McCoy of the DC Library - Washingtonian Division has agreed to support City At War with the materials he has at his disposal, but first-account interviews are vital to infusing character and spirit into the development of the play. If you or someone you know has first-hand knowledge of Georgetown during World War II please contact:
